Metal conduits are suitable for applications with high temperatures or where good chemical resistance is required. However, it should be remembered that not all metal conduits for electrical cables are the same: different applications call for different specifications in terms of material and manufacturing processes.
Depending on the application and the specific requirements of the electrical system, you may need a standard metal conduits or a product that is particularly resistant to corrosion. Therefore, conduits with a stainless-steel core, PVC coating, or water-proof metal conduits with an IP68 protection rating for wet environments may be required. In any case, we at EURO 2000 have a wide product selection to meet all these different application needs.
Flexible Metal Conduits
Flexible Metal Conduits
Flexible Metal Conduits
There are different types of metal conduits, each specifically suitable for systems with specific needs.
Steel flexible metallic conduits are used in high-temperature environments where an IP Ingress Protection rating is not required. The IP protection level classifies and assesses the degree of protection provided by the mechanical envelope and electrical panels against solid particles and liquids.
Euro 2000’s Steel flexible metallic conduits are all made using a reinforced interlocking system. They are available in GAAR- type galvanized steel,
and GARIX-GARIXX- type stainless steel Aisi 304 and 316L.
Liquid Tight Flexible Metal Conduits are generally used in the presence of oil and fuel of all kinds, where IP protection is required, and the operating temperature range is from -15°C +80°C.
They are subdivided into the DMC series with galvanized steel core and smooth thick PVC cover,
and the DMA series with aspirated coating.
Also, Liquid Tight Flexible Metal Conduits are produced in DMCX and DMCXX series metal core versions with AISI 304 and 316 stainless steel. All are characterized by the patented reinforced interlocking.
Thermoplastic elastomer or polyurethane-coated flexible conduits are used for mechanical protection in the presence of oil and fuel of all kinds, where IP protection is required, but the operating temperature range is from -40°C +105°C and above. They are split into conduits with smooth and thick coatings according to DMC ABT and ABTX versions, DMC PU and DMC HJTL versions, and conduits with aspirated coatings according to DMA ABT , DMA ABTX , DMA PU versions. Polyurethane coated metal conduits , in particular, are used for mechanical protection when no toxic fumes and the lowest possible optical density of fumes are required; therefore, in naval and railway applications. They are metal conduits certified according to the EN 45545 international smoke and fire standard.
Braided flexible metal conduits are with a galvanized or stainless-steel core with reinforced interlocking and a suctioned plastic outer coating subsequently covered with wire braids made of galvanized steel according to the DMT version or AISI304 stainless steel according to the DMTX and DMTLNX versions.
Given its unique manufacturing and flexibility characteristics, this type of metal conduit provides high protection against rodents, sharp slag, and hot shavings and is particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications such as the installation of brake systems, welding equipment, and die-casting machines. They meet various applications, including industrial plants, on-board machine installation, and energy and offshore applications.
Glass fiber and stainless-steel braided metal conduits are used for mechanical protection in environments characterized by the presence of white-hot slags and/or very high temperatures, where IP protection is not required. All of our braided metal conduits are available with galvanized steel or aisi 304 or 316L stainless steel cores.
EURO 2000’s braided metal cable conduits are manufactured in galvanized and stainless steel for industrial applications to protect electrical cables. Together with their fittings, they are designed to withstand high-temperature applications and various chemical agents, thus ensuring Ex-e “increased safety” protection on the entire protection system, according to IEC / EN 60079-0,7.
IECEx ATEX braided metal conduits are in brass and AISI 316 L stainless steel. We can offer solutions for a wide range of applications, and our products are complemented by a wide range of matching flanges and fittings. In this manner, we can provide virtually any type of combination, depending on the specific requirements. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need additional information!
